If you want to see the numbers on your scale go down, you should consider these juicing recipes for weight loss. This means replacing at least one meal per day with a homemade weight loss juice recipe. To do this, you’ll only need a juicer, fruits, and vegetables. Of course, the key to losing weight isn’t just about replacing a meal with juice. Namely, you’ll need to combine the right ingredients in order to shed those extra pounds. With that being said, today we have prepared a list of 22 amazing juicing recipes for weight loss. But before we get to the juice cleanse recipes, here are some of the things you’ll need to know about juicing.
Choosing the Right Juicer for Weight Loss Juice Recipes
In case you don’t have any experience when it comes to juicing for weight loss, the first thing you’ll need to do is research the type of juicer you need. There are two basic types of juicers you can choose from – masticating and centrifugal juicers. There is no denying that masticating, otherwise known as slow juicers are the superior option. But they are usually also the more expensive models. Nevertheless, they are better when it comes to extracting nutrients from fruits and vegetables.
On top of that, they minimize oxidation and heat buildup, thus enabling you to store the juice for longer. When you make a juice using a masticating juicer, it’ll keep in the fridge for 72 hours. On the other hand, a juice made using a centrifugal juicer will keep for only 24 hours. Centrifugal juicers are an excellent choice if short prep time is important to you. They’re extremely effective when it comes to extracting juice from produce. If you want to take a look at some quality juicers, both masticating and centrifugal, make sure you check out our list of the 8 best Omega juicers. In case you’re unfamiliar with this company, Omega is one of the leading brands in the juicing world.
When you start looking for a juicer, you’ll see that masticating models are generally more expensive than centrifugal juicers. Nevertheless, you can still find some great options that aren’t too pricey. Find out more on our article on the 10 best cheap juicers that are currently on the market.
Losing Weight the Healthy Way
When you replace a whole meal with a weight loss juice recipe, you can drastically reduce your calorie intake. This alone can help you lose weight quickly. Despite juicing being a great weight-loss method, it’s important not to neglect solid food. Even though homemade juices are extremely healthy, remember that too much of a good thing is never good. In recent years, there is a lot of talk about juice fasts that can last from a few days to several weeks. This is the wrong approach to losing weight since it is too restrictive of calories. Remember that your body needs at least 1,200 calories per day in order to function properly. And there it’s highly unlikely that you will consume that many calories without eating solid food.
Know that when you consume less than 1,200 calories per day, your body might stop burning them and preserve them instead. When you’re on a very restrictive diet, it may have a negative effect on your metabolism. Instead of following this trend of juice fasting, simply come up with a good meal plan. Start counting calories and replace a meal per day with some homemade juice. Avoid sugary drinks, sweets, and other types of junk food. Instead, start making your own healthy snacks and weight loss juices.

Hi Lucinda,
smoothies and juices are two different things. Juicing removes the fiber, smoothies still contain all the fiber. You could juice with a blender, but you’ll need a strainer like a nut milk bag. Here’s how to do it: how to make juice with a blender.
When you juice with a juicer, you don’t need to add any water, as the fruits and vegetables contain plenty of water. A juicer just extracts that water (juice) and removes all the other stuff. A blender blends everything you put into it into a thick smoothie. For most blenders, you’ll need to add liquid to make the smoothie thinner and make it easier on the machine. A smoothie is thicker than juice and usually contains more calories. If you’re trying to replace meals, it might be better to stick to smoothies as these contain plenty of needed fiber.
Will be starting to juice in the next couple of days and researching recipes mainly for weight loss for now. So glad I clicked on this link. Thanks for sharing easy recipes.
Hi Janet, so glad you like the recipes. Hope you’re having a great juice fast!
