Best Battery Powered Blender

The 11 Best Battery-Operated Blenders in 2019

Just a few years ago, the best battery-powered blenders were heavy and bulky. How times have changed! These days good battery-operated blenders are very inexpensive and don’t take up much space. Cordless USB rechargeable blenders are small and light enough to toss it in your bag. You can take them wherever you go!

Imagine the freedom of being able to blend your favorite smoothies and shakes no matter where you are. A single charge can last you for up to a week of tasty and healthy drinks. Battery-powered blenders can easily be charged by a laptop or power bank while you’re traveling.

A rechargeable blender makes living a healthier lifestyle so much easier! No matter where you are, you’ll always have a quick and healthy alternative to junk food. You’ll never have to sacrifice your health and eating habits, even when you’re far away from home.

Most battery-operated blenders are pretty quiet compared to your standard countertop blender. You can blend all day every day without disturbing your neighbors or waking up your family members. I wouldn’t even be ashamed to use one of these cute blenders in the office. No more pouring money down the drain by going out to eat for lunch every day!

Without further delay, let’s dive right into our extensive review of the best battery-powered blenders. Are you ready?

The 11 Best Battery-Operated Blenders

1. PopBabies Battery-Powered Blender | Best Choice

The PopBabies cordless blender is a compact USB rechargeable blender. It comes with a cute mini ice cube tray, a small recipe booklet, and a funnel. It’s one of the best battery-powered blenders available. It was designed by a team of US artists and comes in four different colors.

The PopBabies has a durable 4,000mAh lithium battery. That’s double the battery capacity of most battery-operated blenders on the market today. You can make 1-2 smoothies a day for up to one week on one battery charge. With this blender, you can make smoothies even while charging the battery. That’s a nice feature that not many rechargeable blenders have.

For a small wireless blender, the PopBabies is pretty powerful!

The 175-watt motor spins the blades at a fast 22,000 RPM. It blends tough ingredients like small amounts of ice, frozen fruits, and veggies thoroughly. Don’t expect a Vitamix-like performance, but for a portable blender, it does a great job. The fruit smoothies this blender creates are smooth and without any chunks.

With a travel blender like the PopBabies, it doesn’t matter where you are. You can make fresh smoothies anywhere!

You can take it on a camping trip, have freshly blended drinks on a picnic, make shakes in the gym, or even blend right in your car. This portable blender runs completely hands-free. Just press a single button, and it will blend for 20 seconds and stops on its own.

For a blender, the PopBabies is pretty quiet!

Some users compare the noise level to an electric pencil sharpener. You can make fresh smoothies right at the office without drawing too much attention. It’s still a blender, so don’t expect it to be completely noise-free, but it’s much quieter than any full-size blender.

The 17 oz bottle and lid clean very easily. Just add some warm water and a drop of dish soap to the jar and let it run for 20 seconds. Then quickly rinse it off, and you’re done. With a portable blender like the PopBabies you won’t have any excuses not to enjoy your healthy smoothies every day!

Pros:

  • Comes with a durable 4,000mAh lithium battery.
  • Powerful enough to blend small amounts of frozen ingredients, greens, and nuts.
  • For a blender, the PopBabies is quiet.
  • This battery-powered blender runs completely hands-free.
  • It can blend while charging.

Cons:

  • The PopBabies is not intended to blend hot ingredients.
  • The opening of the bottle is small, but a funnel is included.
  • The light font of the recipe booklet is barely readable.

CHECK THE LATEST PRICE FOR THE POPBABIES BATTERY-POWERED BLENDER

Overall Opinion: The PopBabies is a great battery-operated blender. With a rechargeable USB blender, you can blend anywhere! You can make up to 14 smoothies on just one battery charge. It runs completely hands-free and operates quietly. It doesn’t have the blending power of a full-size blender, but it gets most blending jobs done.

2. Kacsoo USB Blender | Beautiful Glass Blender

If you don’t like plastic jars, let me introduce you the Kacsoo USB blender. This beautiful battery-powered blender comes with a glass jar that won’t leach nasty chemicals into your smoothies. The blender is well built and feels very premium. Even with the glass jar, this small blender only weighs 1.65lb!

The built-in rechargeable 5200mAh lithium-ion battery is one of the most durable batteries you’ll ever find in a portable blender. You can make up to fifteen smoothies on one battery charge.

If you don’t overfill the jar, this battery-operated blender makes quick work of everything you put in. It has enough blending power to blend small amounts of crushed ice, nuts, greens, and frozen fruits.

It struggles a bit with thick stalks on greens, as well as with tiny berry seeds, however. A USB rechargeable blender just lacks the power to blend tougher ingredients without any residues left. Always precut your fruits and veggies into smaller chunks to make it easier on the motor.

If you love bulletproof coffee, I got great news for you. The Kacsoo is a great, little blender for bulletproof coffee on the go!

With this glass jar blender, you can blend hot drinks up to a temperature of 194°F. Be careful not to overdo it, though! Some users reported cracking of the glass after blending liquids hotter than the recommended temperature.

Pros:

  • Comes with a strong 5,200mAh lithium-ion battery.
  • One of the few portable blenders with a glass jar.
  • It’s very lightweight and compact.
  • You can blend hot liquids up to a temperature of 194°F.
  • Strong enough to blend small amounts of crushed ice, nuts, and veggies.

Cons:

  • Don’t fill the jar more than ⅔ full, or the blender won’t turn on.
  • The blades aren’t detachable.
  • The glass is durable, but plastic might be the better choice for traveling.
  • Doesn’t have a sip lid.
  • Some users reported cracking of the glass after blending hot liquids.

CHECK THE LATEST PRICE FOR THE KACSOO BATTERY-POWERED BLENDER

Overall Opinion: The Kacsoo battery-powered blender is one of the few portable blenders with a glass jar. The thick borosilicate glass gives this blender a premium feel without adding much to the weight. It comes with one of the strongest batteries you’ll ever find in a battery-operated blender, a 5,200 mAh lithium-ion battery. You can make up to fifteen healthy beverages on just one battery charge.

3. Cuisinart CSB-400CD | Rechargeable Hand Blender

The Cuisinart CSB-400CD is Cuisinart’s latest generation rechargeable hand blender. This cordless immersion blender has 20 minutes of run time per charge. It comes with a strong lithium-ion battery and a nice quick charge feature.

It’s a pretty versatile device!

No matter if you want to whip cream, make soups, beat eggs, blend separated nut butter, or puree fruits and veggies, the Cuisinart does it like a champ. You could also make simple fruit smoothies with a cordless immersion blender like this, although I prefer a standart battery-powered blender for smoothies.

In order to turn the hand blender on, you need to hit the unlock button and the power button at the same time. This safety feature is great to protect your kids but makes it somewhat cumbersome to use.

Pros:

  • One of the few cordless hand blenders on the market.
  • Comes with five speeds.
  • Includes a four-cup measuring cup and chef’s whisk.
  • It’s a versatile device and you can make almost anything.

Cons:

  • The whole unit is a bit larger than you might expect.
  • The safety feature is poorly designed.

CHECK THE LATEST PRICE FOR THE CUISINART CSB-400D HAND BLENDER

Overall Opinion: When it comes to cordless, battery-powered immersion blenders, there really aren’t that many models you can choose from. Cuisinart has been manufacturing cordless hand blenders for quite some time now. The Cuisinart CSB-400CD is their latest generation model. It comes with a strong lithium-ion battery that lasts for up to 20 minutes. Overall, it’s a good wireless hand blender.

4. Ecpurchase Battery-Operated Blender | Budget Pick

The Ecpurchase USB blender is a great option if money is tight. It might not be the most powerful battery-operated blender out there, but it handles simple blending tasks well. It comes with a 2,000 mAh lithium battery that lasts for at least seven smoothies once fully charged. You can choose from two beautiful colors, green and pink.

You won’t need to pay up to $10 for a smoothie from a juice bar any longer!

With this affordable mini blender, you can make fresh smoothies anywhere. It’s small and light enough to toss it in your bag and blend while you’re on the go. The small motor is strong enough for delicious fruit smoothies with some nuts and veggies in it. It does blend small amounts of crushed ice, but please make sure to add liquids to it.

This battery-powered blender comes with a recipe booklet, so you can start making smoothies right away. If you’re ever in need for more delicious single-serve smoothie ideas, check out our energy-boosting smoothies or liver cleansing smoothie recipes.

Pros:

  • The Ecpurchase battery-operated blender is very affordable.
  • Comes with a small smoothie recipe booklet.

Cons:

  • The 14 oz jar might be too small for some users.
  • The blender won’t work while charging the battery.
  • The motor isn’t strong enough for large amounts of ice or leafy greens.

CHECK THE LATEST PRICE FOR THE ECPURCHASE BATTERY BLENDER

Overall Opinion: Is the Ecpurchase the best battery-powered blender out there? Probably not. It comes with a weaker battery and motor compared to more expensive models. However, for the low price it sells for, this isn’t a bad blender at all. It’s very portable, the battery lasts for at least seven smoothies, and it handles simple blending jobs well.

5. CRSURE | Wireless Mixer for Protein Shakes

Tired of shaking your protein shaker bottle after gym? Then this handy protein shake blender might be right for you. It’s one of the best battery-powered blenders for protein shakes on the market right now.

Say bye bye to lumps in your shakes!

The motor creates a powerful vortex that makes perfectly smooth shakes. The Crsure is exclusively designed for making protein shakes. It mixes protein powder far more thoroughly than most other portable blenders. You’ll be surprised how tasty and creamy a simple protein shake can be.

With the Crsure mixer bottle, you can get your protein fix anywhere.

The lightweight and compact size make it easy to take it with you to the gym. No more awkward looks from people when you’re shaking your shaker bottle with a noisy whisk ball. The Crsure shaker bottle not only looks great, but it’s pretty quiet as well.

This battery-powered shaker bottle only needs 20 seconds to create protein shakes with a milkshake-like consistency. Simply press the button on the front twice and let the Crsure do its thing. It runs completely hands-free! All you have to do is wait for a few seconds while it mixes your protein shakes.

The Crsure comes with stainless steel blades. You can add small amounts of fruits to your protein shakes and it will do just fine. Don’t expect it to make great smoothies though. It’s just not designed for this kind of job.

With a full charge, the Crsure can last you for a full week of daily protein shakes. Not only that, but it also acts as a power bank. You can charge your phone or other electronic devices while using it. How cool is that?

Pros:

  • Mixes more thoroughly than a simple protein shake bottle.
  • The 3,600 mAh battery lasts for a full week.
  • It’s not only a protein shake blender but also a power bank.
  • It doesn’t leak.
  • Super easy to operate and clean.
  • This protein shake blender runs completely hands-free.

Cons:

  • It can only blend small amounts of fruits.
  • Doesn’t work very well with frozen ingredients.

CHECK THE LATEST PRICE FOR THE CRSURE PROTEIN MIXER

Overall Opinion: The Crsure is a great little protein mixer. It blends protein shakes more thoroughly than a simple protein shake bottle ever could. The protein shakes this blender creates are super smooth and taste just like a delicious milkshake.

6. Oberly Wireless Blender | Small & Powerful

The Oberly blender might be small but it’s pretty powerful. It comes with a mini ice cube tray and can crush small ice cubes and frozen fruits without an issue. This lightweight device is one of the most affordable and best battery-powered blenders for camping and your smoothies on the go. Simply charge the Oberly via USB port for 2-3hours and it will last you for up to one week of delicious and healthy drinks.

At only 3x 3x 9 inches, this mini blender is easy to carry in your bag. You can drink your smoothies directly out of the blender jar. No need to carry extra smoothie cups with you. You’ll always have a quick and healthy option wherever you go.

This blender comes with convenient one-touch control. Press one button and let this blender do the work for you, while you’re doing something else. It’s not only easy to operate, but also super quick. It’ll take you less than a minute to make a great smoothie.

Like most other USB blenders, the Oberly lacks the power to create green smoothies with very little fruits in it. Blending perfect green smoothies with lots of leafy greens is one of the most challenging tasks for any blender! I would definitely choose a corded personal blender for this kind of job. If you want to enjoy delicious green smoothies on the go, check out our extensive review of the best travel blenders.

Having said that, the Oberly does a great job making fruit smoothies. You can still add a few leaves of spinach or other leafy greens to it. But don’t overdo it! Always make sure to cut fibrous vegetables into smaller chunks, so the Oberly can process it more easily.

Pros:

  • Comes with a mini ice cube tray.
  • Can crush mini ice cubes and small frozen fruits.
  • Lasts for up to a week on one battery charge.
  • Convenient one-touch control.

Cons:

  • Not strong enough to make perfect green smoothies.
  • You can’t put large ice cubes in it, use the mini ice cube tray.

Overall Opinion: With a good battery-powered blender like the Oberly the possibilities are endless. It doesn’t matter where you are, you can blend fresh smoothies! You’ll always have a healthier alternative to junk food wherever you go.

7. Cozibot Travel Blender | Blender for on the Go

Imagine the freedom of being able to blend your favorite smoothies, shakes, cocktails, or baby food wherever you go. The Cozibot battery-powered blender is small and light enough to carry it with you. It’s about the size of a regular water bottle and only weighs 1.09 lbs!

I love the free accessories!

It comes with a convenient and beautiful travel bag. In addition to the bag, you’ll get a small ice cube tray to make frozen drinks with ease.

You can easily charge the Cozibot via a USB port, a power bank, or car charger. It’s equipped with a long lasting 4,000 mAh battery. You can make up to 25 smoothies on one charge! You really won’t need to bring your charger with you on a weekend trip, or even a one-week vacation.

This cute travel blender blends really nicely to smooth texture. It has sufficient blending power to add 5-6 small ice cubes to your smoothies or shakes. Keep in mind that the Cozibot is small single-serve blender, so don’t overfill it. For easy to blend ingredients like soft bananas, you can fill the cup to the max line. Always add liquid to your blend.

The Cozibot blends small amounts of veggies and leafy greens just fine. It also does a good job blending frozen fruits, if you don’t overdo it. For a small travel blender, the Cozibot is powerful.

 Pros:

  • It comes with a small ice cube tray.
  • A beautiful carry bag for traveling is included.
  • Makes up to 25 smoothies on one battery charge.
  • I love the unusual color and sleek design of the Cozibot!

Cons:

  • It doesn’t blend large amounts of ice or greens very well.

8. YouJiaBest Cordless Blender | Juice-Like Smoothies

This lightweight device is another good battery-powered blender. It’s extremely compact and easy to carry around. It comes with a USB 2.0 cable and can easily be charged while you’re camping or traveling. It has a durable glass jar and makes great smoothies.

What I love about this blender is that you can charge your smartphone with it!

Just press the on button for a second and this blender goes into charging mode and acts as a portable power bank. You know that you’re in the charging mode when the built-in display shows “US”.

It’s so convenient to have one small device for both making smoothies and charging electronic devices while you’re on the road. Unfortunately, you can’t blend smoothies and charge your electronic devices at the same time though.

To make smoothies, you have to activate the blending mode. You do that by simply pressing the on button for three seconds. It starts blending and the built-in timer shows you the exact blending time.

Now, this blender is actually marketed as a juicer. Why is that?

It’s equipped with a strainer to filter out unprocessed chunks. The filter doesn’t really turn this blender into a juicer, but it’s a nice feature to have. It creates smoothies with more of a juice-like consistency.

The YouJiaBest rechargeable blender is pretty powerful!

You can add a few veggies and some ice to your smoothies without an issue. It does a good job breaking ice if you add enough liquid. However, it does have a little trouble blending huge frozen fruits.

If you want to keep your kitchen activities quiet, you’ll love this blender.

It’s one of the quieter blenders out there. I wouldn’t even be ashamed to use this one in the office.

Pros:

  • This blender also acts as a power bank.
  • The built-in filter strains out chunks.
  • Durable 4000mAh lithium battery.
  • Comes with a built-in display.
  • I love the glass jar.
  • It’s pretty quiet for a blender.

Cons:

  • It’s more complicated to use than other battery-powered blenders.

CHECK THE LATEST PRICE FOR THE YOUJIABEST WIRELESS BLENDER

Overall Opinion: Is the YouJiaBest a juicer or a blender? It’s easy to get confused here. Although it’s marketed as a juicer, it’s really not. It’s a battery-powered blender with a built-in filter to create juice-like smoothies. You can use it both as a blender and a power bank to charge your electronic devices on the go.

9. PROMIXX | The Original Vortex Mixer

Let me introduce you the Promixx, a state of the art vortex mixer. This stylish electric protein shaker creates smooth shakes in seconds. It’s not only a great battery-powered blender for protein shakes, but also perfect for mixing creatine, weight gainers, or other supplements after workout. No lumps, no spills at all!

The Promixx is tried and tested by thousands of athletes all over the globe. It works quite differently to your standard blender. It doesn’t have any sharp blades, so you can easily bring it through TSA at the airport. Instead, it uses what the manufacturer calls X-blade technology. It’s a uniquely designed small plastic part spinning at a fast speed, creating a powerful vortex.

If you’re still using blender bottles with a ball inside, you’ll be surprised how smooth and creamy a protein shake can be. The Promixx mixes so much better than manual mixer bottles. The high-speed vortex action really works! It mixes evenly, dissolving all the powder creating a perfect creamy texture. It’s pretty quiet for a blender as well.

This mixer takes two AAA batteries. If you use the PROMIXX two times a day, you’ll need to change batteries every 8-10 days. It can get quite expensive. You could use rechargeable batteries to save some money though.

You’ll be surprised how easy this mixer is to clean. Add warm water and a drop of detergent and activate the vortex for a few seconds. Rinse the Promixx thoroughly and you’re done.

Pros:

  • It doesn’t come with sharp blades.
  • Creates a powerful vortex and mixes smooth shakes.
  • Runs quietly for a blender.
  • Easy to clean and operate.

Cons:

  • Batteries are not included.
  • You’ll need to change batteries often.
  • It’s limited to mixing powders.

10. TOPQSC USB Blender | Tired of Plastic!

The TOPQSC is one of the most beautiful battery-powered blenders out there. It has a thick and durable borosilicate glass jar and comes in four beautiful colors.

The strong 5,200 mAh battery is good for a full week of healthy drinks. It’s truly designed for traveling and outdoor activities. This USB blender can easily be charged anywhere by your laptop or power bank.

Stop pouring your money down the drain by going out to eat every time!

With this beautiful mini blender, you can make healthy and delicious meal replacement shakes anywhere. The TOPQSC blends powder and ice to a smooth consistency and the glass jar keeps it fresh and cold.

It makes it easy to blend on a walk while at the office or in a hotel room while traveling. It’s very portable and not heavy at all. 11. Margaritaville | Wireless Concoction Maker

The Margaritaville cordless concoction maker has been discontinued and is kinda hard to find these days. Unfortunately, Margaritaville hasn’t announced a replacement. This blender is so unique, however, that my list of the best battery-powered blenders wouldn’t be complete without it. It’s still available sometimes. If you would love to get one, please make sure to check the listing from time to time or search on eBay for a used device.

With the Margaritaville, you can make restaurant-quality cocktails and frozen drinks anywhere. You can take it on your boat, for camping, to the beach, BBQ, or a festival. You won’t need to plug it in, as it comes with a strong battery pack. The battery charges super fast and it blends up to 60 drinks on a single charge!

The Margaritaville works in two stages. All you have to do is to fill ice in the container above and put the ingredients into the blender jar. You press a single button and it automatically crushes the right amount of ice and releases it to the blending jar. It then starts blending and stops once it’s finished.

You can also make more customized cocktails and frozen drinks.

The manual mode allows you to shave additional ice or blend your drinks more thoroughly. You can even crush ice without having to blend it up.

Pros:

  • Makes perfect restaurant quality cocktails and frozen drinks.
  • The battery pack charges fast and blends up to 60 drinks once fully charged.

 Cons:

  • The Margaritaville has been discontinued and is hard to find.
  • The cordless version doesn’t give you the option to plug in.

CHECK IF THE MARGARITAVILLE  IS STILL AVAILABLE

Overall Opinion: The Margaritaville cordless cocktail maker is a unique device. It comes with a powerful battery pack and you can make great cocktails and frozen drinks anywhere. Unfortunately, this model has been discontinued and is only available on closeout sometimes. If you’re in need for a great corded concoction maker, check out the Margaritaville Key West with XL ice reservoir or the smaller Margaritaville Bahamas frozen concoction maker. There’s also an additional travel bag available to make the Margaritaville even more portable.

Related Questions

1. Are There Any Good 12-Volt Blenders for a Boat or Camping?

Just a few years ago, you could get 12-volt blenders for boats or car camping pretty easily. I can’t recommend any of them though!

All of the 12-volt blenders I know of have been discontinued at some point in time. These blenders lacked power and were nothing like your blender at home. They struggle to perform even simple blending tasks! Forget about making green smoothies or crushing ice. They were expensive, unreliable and some users even reported their 12-volt blender blowing up!

You could still get a 12-volt blender used on eBay sometimes, but they’re not worth the money they’re selling for. Example of a 12-volt blender is the Waring TG15 Tailgater Blender.

2. What About Full-Size Battery-Operated Blenders?

Except for the Margaritaville cordless concoction maker, I don’t know of any good full-size battery-powered blender. Pretty much all of the battery-operated blenders on the market today are single-serve blenders. They’re compact and affordable USB blenders that are easily rechargeable by a laptop or power bank.

If you’re in need for a full-size cordless blender there really aren’t that many options out there.

The GSI Outdoors Vortex blender is a cord- and battery-free outdoor blender. It’s the only manual hand crank blender I know of. The GSI Outdoors comes with a 50 oz jar and doesn’t require any electricity. For a simple manual blender, it’s pretty expensive though!

You can make decent fruit smoothies and shakes with this hand crank blender. If you only add small amounts of ice and frozen fruits to it, this blender will handle it just fine. However, it’s not as powerful as an electric blender obviously. You won’t be able to blend dry ingredients. Always add enough liquid to your blend if you’re using the GSI outdoor blender.

For me, it’s not worth the money it’s selling for. I can only recommend it if you get it very cheaply and don’t expect too much of it.

Another hand crank blender is the Portable Hand Crank Ice Crusher by Victorio. But just as the name implies, this device is for crushing ice only. It works quite well for a manual ice crusher but doesn’t seem to be very durable.

What Is the Best Battery-Powered Blender for Camping?

3. Which Is the Best Battery-Operated Blender for Smoothies?

All of the battery blenders introduced here are good blenders for simple fruit smoothies. Most of them can even handle small amounts of ice and frozen fruit.

4. What Is a Good Cordless Blender for Green Smoothies?

Well, I’ll be honest with you here. Up to this date, there just aren’t any good battery-operated blenders for green smoothies available. Making green smoothies, just like crushing ice, and making nut butter, is the most challenging task for any blender. You’ll need a pretty powerful blender for making green smoothies.

USB blenders are great for simple blending tasks like making milkshakes or fruit smoothies, but they’re not a Vitamix! They simply lack the power needed for green smoothies with lots of kale, celery, and spinach.

You can add a few leaves of spinach or a small broccoli floret to your fruits smoothies. But don’t overdo it. Test out slowly how much your small battery-powered blender can handle.

If you’re in need for a good single-serve blender for green smoothies, check out our list of the best compact blenders that are small enough to fit in your luggage: The 8 Best Travel Blenders.

5. What Is the Best Battery-Operated Blender for Crushing Ice?

Battery-powered blenders simply lack the power to crush large amounts of ice. I would only use crushed ice, or small ice cubes to make it easier on the motor. Never try to crush dry ice with a battery-operated blender! Only add small amounts of ice and please make sure to add sufficient liquid to it.

Corded personal blenders are the better option for crushing ice. Not all blenders can crush ice. Learn more about it here: The Best Blenders for Crushing Ice.

6. What Is the Best Wireless Blender for Protein Shakes?

All of the wireless blenders on this site are great blenders for protein shakes.

If you’re only going to mix protein powder with liquid, I would go for a powerful vortex blender like the Promixx or the Crsure protein mixer. If you want to add some fruits, nuts, or ice to your protein shakes, you’ll need a good rechargeable blender like the PopBabies or the Kacsoo USB blender.

These were some of the best battery-powered blenders. I hope you found this list of cordless blenders helpful and it has given you a good place to start your own research. Have you used a rechargeable blender before? How did you like it? Can’t wait to hear from you in the comments section below.
