If you’ve ever tried juicing kale, you’ll know how hard it can be. Juicing kale is one of the most challenging tasks for most juicers.
If you really want to get the most juice out of kale you can’t just use any juicer.
The best juicers for kale are slow juicers, there’s no question about it. Slow juicers squeeze out the last drop out of lightweight leafy greens, giving you the highest juice yield possible.
Why Slow Juicers Are the Best Juicers for Kale
When you decide on a juicer, you have the choice between centrifugal juicers and slow juicers.
Centrifugal juicers use a fast-spinning blade disc and operate at eye-watering speeds.
Leafy greens like kale are lightweight.
The fast-spinning blade on centrifugal juicers barely tears the leaves before shooting them into the pulp extractor.
You’ll get almost no juice out of them using this kind of juicer.
A slow juicer squeezes fruits and veggies and presses the juice out slowly. It gets all the juice out of lightweight leafy greens.
The juice made with a slow juicer is less prone to oxidation. It extends the shelf-life of your fresh juice significantly.
Most juice bars around the world use slow juicers because of the slow juicing method preserving all the nutrients, giving you healthier, nutrient-dense juice.
The 7 Best Juicers for Kale
Without any further delay, here are the best juicers for kale. There’s a great juicer for every budget. If you’re only juicing kale once in a while, I’d go for a less expensive model like the Aicok or Jocuu.
If you’re juicing on a daily basis, an Omega juicer can be a good investment in your health.
1. Aicok Slow Juicer – Great Juicer for Kale
The Aicok slow juicer is a great juicer for juicing kale. This slow juicer doesn’t heat up ingredients. You’ll get the most nutritious and healthiest juice possible.
There are mainly two different types of juicers available – slow juicers and centrifugal juicers.
Centrifugal juicers have fast-spinning blades. They slice the produce and heat up ingredients.
This can result in nutrition loss.
Even a small amount of heat might damage enzymes and nutrients. The fast-spinning blades and slicing of the produce also shorten the shelf life.
Juice made with a centrifugal juicer is prone to oxidation and only has a shelf life of 24 hours when you keep it in the fridge.
The Aicok slow juicer squeezes out the juice slowly. The juice made with this juicer is more nutritious and lasts you for up to three days in the fridge.
For more information about the shelf-life of freshly made juice, check out this article I’ve written about the topic.
Because of the fast-spinning blades, centrifugal juicers are noisy. They sound like an airplane taking off right in your kitchen.
The Aicok slow juicer is pretty quiet.
The motor spins at only 80RPM, compare that to centrifugal juicers that spin the blades at roughly 20,000RPM.
The Aicok runs at less than 60 decibels. That’s about the noise level of a normal conversation.
You can make your healthy juice early in the morning or late at night without disturbing your neighbors or family members.
Slow juicers are the best juicers for kale, there’s no question about it.
You’ll get more juice out of kale if you’re using a slow juicer like the Aicok.
Leafy greens like kale are lightweight. The fast-spinning blades on centrifugal juicers barely tear the leaves before shooting them into the pulp extractor.
The Aicok slowly squeezes out the last drop out of lightweight leafy greens. That’s why juice bars all over the world prefer using slow juicers.

The juice yield of the Omega is slightly higher than the Aicok. You’ll get more juice out of everything you put in. If you’re juicing a lot, this can add up quickly and help you save money on your groceries.
The motor in the Omega MM900HDS is incredibly powerful.
This beast comes with a 2 horsepower motor! Although it’s powerful, it’s still quiet enough to juice early in the morning without waking up the house.

Here’s another great Omega juicer for juicing kale and other leafy greens. The Omega NC800HDS is a bit of an overkill if you’re only juicing once in a while. However, if you look out to make juicing a part of your daily routine, this juicer is well worth the money it sells for.
The NC800HDS is Omega’s latest generation juicer.
It’s more efficient than previous generation Omega models. That’s really impressive since older Omega juicers already guarantee high juice yields.
The NC800HDS extracts up to 25% more juice out of kale and leafy greens than previous-generation models. That’s a lot!
Especially if you’re using a lot of organic produce, the NC900HDS is sure to save you a lot of money over the long term.
In this review, John juices one pound of leafy greens in both the new Omega NC800 and the older Omega 8004. It’s a long review, but it’ll be worth your time:
The NC800 features a powerful two horsepower motor. With this much power, you can juice kale all day long without the motor ever slowing down.
The slow 80RPM gives you the most nutritious juice possible with the least amount of oxidation. You can store your fresh kale juice for three days in the fridge without losing too many nutrients.
The five settings adjustable end cap keeps the pulp in for longer and extracts the last drop. The pulp this juicer produces is very dry. You can rest assured nothing will be wasted.
What I love about the Omega NC800HDS is the wide feed chute.
It comes with an 80% wider feed chute compared to older Omega models.
If you’re juicing daily, you’ll love the wide feed chute. You can leave the produce in bigger chunks. It literally cuts your preparation time in half!
The Omega NC900HDS is exactly the same juicer as the NC800HDS. They only differ in color and price. The NC900HDS comes in a gorgeous-looking chrome finish. Click here to check out the NC900HDS.

4. Jocuu Slow Juicer – Budget Kale Juicer
If you’re not ready for the high price tag that comes with an Omega juicer, consider the Jocuu slow juicer.
The Jocuu is a two-speed slow juicer. It’s not only a good juicer for juicing kale, but it juices all kinds of fruits and veggies.
Simply use the “Soft” mode for soft produce like watermelon, celery, cucumber, orange, or grapes. The “Hard” setting helps you get more juice out of kale, carrots, apple, pears, ginger, beets, etc.
Just like you would expect of a slow juicer, this juicer operates quietly.
At a noise level of less than 60dB, you can juice all day long without disturbing others.
See the Jocuu juicer in action:
This juicer is super easy to clean.

CHECK THE LATEST PRICE FOR THE JOCUU SLOW JUICER
General Opinion: The Jocuu is another great budget slow juicer for kale. It’s almost on par with the Aicok when it comes to juice yield. If you can get it for a huge discount to the Aicok, I’d go for the Jocuu.
5. Breville Juice Fountain Cold XL – Innovative Centrifugal Juicer
Now, the Breville Juice Fountain Cold is a centrifugal juicer, but it’s different than all the other centrifugal juicers out there.
If you’re worried about centrifugal juicers destroying nutrients, worry no more!
The Juice Fountain Cold comes with a cold extraction system. It transfers less than 1.8°F while extracting the juice.
This means less nutrient loss and healthier juice for you! If you’re deciding on a centrifugal juicer, the Breville is the best juicer you can get.
This juicer comes with two speeds. The high-speed setting is great for hard fruits and veggies like apples, beets, and carrots.
The low-speed setting is best for juicing kale or softer fruits and veggies. Unfortunately, even in the low-speed setting, the juice yield isn’t on par with slow juicers when it comes to juicing leafy greens.
Although it comes with a Quiet Mode that is 40% quieter than other centrifugal juicers, it’s still noisy compared to slow juicers!
The pulp the Juice Fountain Cold is producing from kale is pretty wet. That means it doesn’t get out all the juice and is less efficient than a slow juicer.
There are some advantages to centrifugal juicers, however. A centrifugal juicer juices fast! Up to 5x faster than slow juicers.
You’ll get your juice super quickly. Perfect for those early morning juices when you don’t have much time.
Compared to all slow juicers, the feed chute on the Breville is huge!
It comes with a 3-inch feed chute. That means you can shove a medium-sized apple in it without precutting. Again, perfect for those early morning hurry juices.
A centrifugal juicer is great for hard produce like carrots, pears, apples, beets. The fast-spinning blades extract a lot of juice out of them and the pulp is dry.
The juice yield for leafy greens might not be as high as with a slow juicer, but the juice quality is excellent.
The juice has a vibrant, bright color and tastes so delicious. You know it’s good for you just by looking at it.
This juicer comes with an extra-large 70 oz juice container. You can make large batches of fresh juice for your whole family in one sitting.
Pros:
- Makes perfect healthy juice due to minimal heat transfer
- Juicing takes less time compared to slow juicers (5x faster)
- Comes with a Quiet Mode that reduces noise by 40%
- The juice tastes very delicious and looks great
- Comes with a large 70 oz juice container
- Super efficient when it comes to juicing hard produce like carrots, apples, and beets
- Extra-wide 3-inch feed chute
- A bit quieter than other centrifugal juicers but by no means silent
- Built-in overload protection LED for safe juicing
Cons:
- It’s an expensive juicer
- Compared to slow juicers, this centrifugal juicer is noisy
- Juice yield not on par with slow juicers
- The best centrifugal juicer for kale, but a slow juicer is still the better choice
CHECK THE LATEST PRICE FOR THE BREVILLE JUICE FOUNTAIN COLD XL
General Opinion: If you want a good centrifugal juicer for juicing kale, the Breville Juice Fountain Cold is my favorite choice. It doesn’t heat up ingredients like other centrifugal do. The juice yield isn’t on par with slow juicers when it comes to leafy greens, but juice quality is excellent.
6. Aobosi Slow Juicer – Built-In Foam Separator
The Aobosi is another affordable juicer for kale that works well. If you don’t like to have much foam and pulp in your juice, this might be a good choice.
This juicer has a built-in foam separator that works quite well.
It effectively removes the foam from the juice. I don’t mind foam on my juices, but I know people who do. It’s a nice feature to have.
When it comes to the most important thing – juice yield – the Aobosi performs quite well.
It yields a good amount of juice from kale and other leafy greens. It’s not quite on par with the Omega juicers and the Aicok slow juicer, however. The pulp is still slightly wet.
Juice yield from apples and other hard produce is great, though.
Just one big apple yields six ounces of fresh apple juice. That’s quite impressive!
Just like the other budget juicers, the Aobosi features a 150-watt motor. It operates just as quietly as the Aicok.
Pros:
- Comes with an effective, built-in foam separator
- Juices very quietly
- It’s an affordable slow juicer
- High juice yield from hard produce
Cons:
- Juice yield from leafy greens not quite on par with Omega or Aicok

7. AMZCHEF Juicer – Colorful, Modern Beauty
If you’re new to juicing, here’s another great juicer for beginners. The AMZCHEF slow juicer comes in a colorful, modern design that looks great on any countertop.
A great-looking juicer doesn’t have to be expensive.
The AMZCHEF is one of the more affordable slow juicers. It juices everything from apples, carrots, ginger, kale, and even wheatgrass. No matter what kind of fruits or veggies you want to juice, the AMZCHEF slow juicer got you covered.
The AMZCHEF runs at a slow 80RPM. That means less oxidation, higher juice yield, and a more extended shelf life.
The noise level is quiet at only 60dB as well.
What I don’t like about the AMZCHEF is the small feed chute.
A small feed chute like this needs a lot of preparation. You’ll need to cut the fruits and veggies into smaller chunks to make it fit the chute.
Other than that, it’s a great machine for the low price it’s selling for. You’ll get a decent 2-year warranty and great customer service.
Pros:
- I love the modern-looking, colorful design
- Powerful juicer at an affordable price
- The juice yield is high compared to centrifugal juicers
- Runs quietly at only 60 RPM
- The juice is less prone to oxidation and lasts longer
Cons:
- All parts are made out of plastic
- The feed chute is quite small
CHECK THE LATEST PRICE FOR THE AMZCHEF JUICER
General Opinion: If you’re looking for a good kale juicer at an affordable price, consider the AMZCHEF slow juicer. This juicer comes in a modern design and is efficient at juicing leafy greens.
These were some of the best juicers for kale. I hope you found these juicer reviews helpful and it has given you a good place to start your own research. Have you tried juicing kale before? What’s your favorite juicer for kale? Ever tried juicing kale with a centrifugal juicer? I would love to hear from you in the comments below. Stay vibrant, happy & healthy!
Good post. I have tried quite a few different juicer brands over the past twenty years. Some good, some bad, and some indifferent. However, the juicer I have currently, is absolutely amazing. I would say it is the BEST machine I have ever used. I drink a lot of carrot, celery, broccoli, kale and mint juice, and I needed something that would handle hard carrots, whilst extracting every last drop of liquid from kale (kale is a notoriously hard thing to successfully juice). I have a Green Star Elite juicer. It produces soooooo much juice from kale, and leaves behind the driest pulp imaginable. Whilst the machine is quite expensive, I actual save money in the long run, as need less produce (due to more extraction).
Hi Mary, the Greenstar Elite is just the best of the best. I love this juicer! It is expensive and can be quite difficult to keep clean, but it’s worth it. It produces so much juice from everything you put into it. It really can help you save money in the long run.
