Best Blender for Juicing

The 9 Best Blenders for Juicing in 2020 – Reviews & Top Picks

With veteran juice fans and newbies alike, there seems to be a little confusion in the health and fitness community. Let me help straighten some things out. Many people searching for the best blender for juicing either don’t know there is a difference between a juicer and a blender, or they would prefer not to have two machines for various reasons. The real confusion comes from not knowing if a blender can actually be used as a juicer or not.

Guess what? Blenders can totally be used as juicers! But there are some important caveats to that good news, which I’ll cover below. Before you decide to skip the juicer all together and just juice in a blender, please read the details below so you will know what you’re getting yourself into.

Before you can juice in a blender, you need to know these important facts! After I explain the possible issues and the benefits of using a blender for juicing, I’ll run down my list of favorite blenders that can handle this tough job.

Can you use a blender for juicing?

Making Juice in a BlenderYes, you can make juice in a blender. I touched on this briefly above, but the question really needs a thorough answer. You’ll see why in a moment.

Blenders are versatile, powerful machines that can pulverize ingredients in seconds. They can chop, mix, blend, make nut butters, and make frozen concoctions like chunky smoothies and thick fruit freezes. Blenders are useful for a wide variety of kitchen applications, but what about juicing? That’s a pretty specific thing!

Since you can make frozen fruit drinks, like cocktails and smoothies, in a blender, it stands to reason that you’d be able to make runnier drinks, too. While this is true, it takes some knowledge about blenders to make juicing work well in this device.

The biggest factors are speed and power. For blenders to effectively juice ingredients, the blades need to move incredibly fast and the motor needs to be ultra-powerful. Why? Because slower and weaker blenders can’t completely liquefy ingredients. Sure, they can get them fairly smooth, but you’re not really making juice with those.

Slower and less powerful blenders can only handle smoothies and other foods that usually have chunks—even tiny pieces count as chunks, after all. I mean, who wants chunky juice? Ew!

There’s a huge difference in texture between a smoothie and juice, for example. Take a drink of each and you can immediately tell there are no chunks in the juice, while the smoothie has tiny bits of ice, berry seeds, or even smaller bits of unblended food. You expect chunks in a smoothie, but juice? Gag me!

Faster, more powerful blenders completely liquefy ingredients. That eradicates any of the tiny chunks you’re used to feeling in smoothies, including tiny seeds from strawberries and blackberries. That changes the texture from “smooth” to truly smooth as silk juice. Yes, even if you use the exact same ingredients as your smoothie!

One important tip for improving your success with blender juicing: don’t be afraid to add water, broth, or other liquids to your blend. While you’ll be able to liquefy and juice pretty much anything with the blenders on this list, you’re going to get a thicker juice than if you used a juicer.

It’s simple science. You’re leaving in all the good and healthy fiber, just beating the stuffing out of it and turning it to a liquid. Even so, it’ll be slightly thicker than what you’ll get from a juicer, so if you’re looking for runny, super liquidy juices, add a little bit of water, nut milk, or other liquid to boost the nutrients even further and to make it a bit thinner. Just add a little at a time though. It doesn’t take much!

Why would you use a blender for juicing instead of a juicer?

Fruit Juices Made With BlenderKnowing that blenders can make juice, you may wonder why juicers even exist at all. Maybe it seems like a huge waste of resources, money, and time to have two machines that can do the same job. There really is a good reason for the separate machines though. Several, in fact.

Personalized Fiber Needs

The main reason juicers exist is that not all people will want or need the extra fiber you’ll get from using a blender to make juice. This may be for medical reasons, diet, or personal choice. Whatever the reason, juicers are mainly used to remove the pulp and fiber from fruits and vegetables, extracting just the vitamin-rich juices for consumption.

Most people don’t get enough fiber in their diets, so juicing isn’t a great choice for them. However, lots of people already eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, and other fiber-rich foods, so they don’t need the extra fiber that can come from blending these ingredients. If that sounds like you, then a juicer is probably a better choice for your lifestyle. This is also true for people who have digestive issues that can be exacerbated by too much fiber.

However, if you’re like most Americans, you should be looking for ways to add more fiber to your diet, not remove it. That means juicing in a powerful blender that can liquefy tough, fibrous ingredients into a delicious and nutritious juice.

Cost Considerations

Juicers can be pretty expensive—even the lower end models can be too much of an expense for a lot of families. Since they are a one-trick-pony—meaning they only do one job—it’s more cost-effective to spend a little extra money on a really powerful blender that can make juice. With a blender, you also have the ability to create a wide variety of other foods and drinks, all in one machine.

The fact that blenders have such a variety of uses is often a big selling point for them. Compared to juicers that only do one job, the blender seems like a wiser choice for the money.

Blenders are typically very easy to clean. Most can be placed in the dishwasher, and the bases can be wiped down with a damp rag. Some of the best blenders for juicing are even quite efficient at cleaning themselves with just a drop of dish soap and some hot water.

Juicers, on the other hand, require a little more effort to keep clean and maintained. Some are pretty simple, while others can be quite complex. They all require an extra step that blenders don’t. You must remove the pulp from a juicer and clean that chute.

The extra work alone is enough to make some health enthusiasts balk at juicers. Fast, powerful blenders are simply easier to clean and maintain.

Storage Space

Even though blenders and juicers come in many sizes and shapes, space should always be a concern. There’s no reason to waste counter or cabinet space on a device you’ll use only once in a while. It’s just wasteful all around. However, if you have a huge kitchen or lots of storage space available, maybe this doesn’t bother you.

For many people, kitchen storage is a big problem. Having two machines taking up space on the counter or in the cabinet can make the room seem crowded and cluttered. By choosing to do juicing in a blender, you’ll be eliminating that extra device and opening up space for something else.

How do you juice?

Colorful JuicesAll that said, you can get delicious and healthy juices from both machines. It comes down to your own personal wants, needs, and requirements. Cost, cleanup, space, and nutritional goals should all be considered when deciding if you want a juicer and a blender, or if you’d be happy with just a blender that can make juice.

If you think a blender for juicing might be your ideal choice, I’ve got a killer list of the very best juice blenders that can make juice in a snap. If you think a juicer matches your needs, check out our beginner’s guide to juicers or the best masticating juicers.

The 9 Best Juicer Blenders

If you’re a fan of the site, you know that we take pride in reporting the good and the bad about the products we review. If it sucks, we’re going to tell you. If it’s amazing, we’ll tell you that, too. We’ve put these juicer blenders through the proverbial wringer so you don’t have to waste your time or money trying a bunch to find your winner. Here’s what we found.

1. Vitamix 5200 | Best Blender for Juicing

Anyone who has spent any time on this site knows how much I love Vitamix blenders. They really are the king of blending, and they have been a trusted leader in the industry for decades. My grandmother had a Vitamix when I was a young child. That device is still blending up a storm to this day, and I’m super old! For your juicing needs, my top pick blender is the Vitamix 5200.

Vitamix is a well-known company, but they have a reputation for being very expensive. Before you start to sweat, this is actually one of the least pricey Vitamix blenders on the market that can still juice like a champ. It’s not the very top of their line, but it’s heads and shoulders above the competition in efficiency, power, and performance. Plus, it’s backed by the same stellar Vitamix reputation that’s kept the company at the top of the pile for so long.

The Vitamix 5200 can make juice in seconds. Their hardened stainless-steel blades can handle absolutely anything you throw at them. These are aircraft-grade, by the way, not some cheap, commercial knock-off. You’re getting the absolute best quality possible. Because of this top-shelf material and incredible craftsmanship, these blades can potentially last a lifetime. I know that my grandma’s Vitamix never had to be serviced or sharpened, so I can’t imagine the 5200 will be any different.

One standout feature of this awesome juicing blender is the cool-running motor. This is one of the reasons you can easily juice in this particular blender. Many other companies struggle to keep their motors cool enough to run at the speed and power that’s required to fully liquefy ingredients. The Vitamix 5200 doesn’t have this issue at all. Keeping that powerful motor cool also comes in handy for turning cold, raw ingredients into steaming hot soups in about 6 minutes, too.

Even though the motor runs cooler than average, it’s still backed by impressive power. The Vitamix 5200 boats an eyebrow-melting 2.0 peak horsepower motor. That’s powered by 1380 watts that can spin those sturdy blades at a whopping 37,000 rpm. As you can imagine, that’s the kind of power and speed you’ll need to perfectly liquefy your ingredients.

It comes with an impressive variable speed control in the form of an easy-to-use, manual dial right on the front. This isn’t a space-age, super techie kind of blender with LED panels and flashing lights, so it’ll fit right in with most kitchens. The manual controls make it easy for older people to use and those with hand or finger weakness, too. Why does that matter? Well, not all of us are young and spunky!

Some blenders have manual buttons or dials that are hard to use, but not Vitamix. This particular blender’s dial is practically non-slip and easy to grip. The buttons move smoothly and give an audible click and tactile feedback to let you know you’ve completed the action. The settings are clearly marked, too, making speed selection a no-brainer. What’s extra cool about this speed dial is that you can adjust it at any point in the blend. No need to stop, reset, and then change the speeds. That’s a great time-saver!

This Vitamix juicing blender is perfect for large batches. The 64-ounce BPA-free blending jar can handle massive amounts of juicing ingredients, so go ahead and mix up some healthy juices for your whole family each day! And don’t worry about cleanup, either. Vitamix raised the bar with their self-cleaning blenders that need only a drop of dish soap and some hot water.

So, what else do you get for this price? Other than extreme juicing power and the Vitamix promise of excellence, you also get a 7-year full warranty. Not that the machine is likely to break or need service thanks to the top-tier craftsmanship, but it’s always nice to know an investment of this magnitude is covered, just in case. The thermal protection on this model is impressive, meaning you can do cold or hot foods, run the blender for 6 or 7 minutes, and wash it all without waiting for temps to even out. I really love that feature because sometimes I just don’t have time to wait.

  • Blending and juicing power backed by the Vitamix reputation and name
  • Strong, cool-running motor
  • Sharp, tough, stainless-steel blades
  • 7-year warranty
  • Manual controls for ease of use and classic look
  • BPA-free blending jar
  • Large capacity
  • Easy to clean

  • Some Vitamix warranties are longer, which makes me wonder why this one isn’t
  • Some users have reported problems with blending jars cracking, but this could be user error—I didn’t experience this problem myself

Overall Opinion: This is basically a budget Vitamix for juicing, but that doesn’t mean it’s cheaply made or inferior. It has the same motor base and performance like more expensive Vitamix models. The Vitamix 5200 is Vitamix’s answer to user requests for a more affordable, powerful blender that can handle juicing tasks as well as their other blending jobs. They did a phenomenal job creating a product that delivers speed, power, and flexibility to a larger user base, and I’m pretty impressed with that.

2. Vitamix E310 | Affordable Vitamix

Here’s something that will surprise nobody: my number 2 pick for the best juicing blender is another Vitamix. This one is the E310 Explorian. They advertise this as another “professional” blender. It may be designed for home use, but this little workhorse can easily be used in a professional setting.

Thanks to Vitamix’s experience making awesome blenders, modern health-conscious consumers get a lot of choices when it comes to the best juicer blenders. The E310 is a great example of budget-friendly price combined with efficient and flexible functionality.

This is another juice blender that comes with handy manual switches, knobs, and controls. These are great for people with weak or painful hands, small hands, and those who just prefer manual over digital. Like the previous model I reviewed above, the E310’s controls are smooth and easy to use. They give the same tactile and audible feedback so you know you’ve engaged the mechanisms properly.

The dial has 10 settings and there is a simple pulse feature, too. This gives you complete control over your blending and juicing needs. I absolutely love the fact you can change speeds while in use. That’s so much better than stopping and starting a hundred times.

The blending jar is moderately sized at 48 ounces. While not the biggest blending jar on a Vitamix, it’s certainly got enough room for a small family or couple to enjoy freshly blended juices each day. As with all Vitamix blenders, this one can be cleaned with a drop of soap and some hot water.

The cutting blades on the Vitamix E310 are of the same top-tier materials as other Vitamix blenders. They’re stainless-steel and made to last. These blades are about 3 inches in diameter, which will ensure even blending with each batch. But what about the inner bits you can’t see? Don’t worry! This Vitamix has a sturdy, all-metal drive system. That means a much longer life and less wear and tear than the cheaper alternatives.

Sometimes, making fresh juice in a blender can put a lot of strain on the motor. Many cheaper and less powerful brands can’t run as long as a Vitamix without blowing the motor or overheating. That kind of performance pressure can put extreme wear and tear on a subpar blender, rendering it useless for juicing.

The Vitamix E310 comes standard with a cooling system to make sure your device stays cool and functional much longer than the competition. You can’t beat the Vitamix thermal protection system.

  • Thermal protection system
  • Simple, easy controls
  • Classic design
  • Powerful motor and sharp blades can juice anything

  • Louder than higher tier Vitamix blenders
  • 48 oz jar might be too small for some users

Overall Opinion: This is a great option for those on a budget but still need a blender that can make juice. Backed by the Vitamix name and reputation, this blender will last for many years. Easy controls make this a good choice for most users.

3. Cleanblend Commercial Blender | Budget Pick

Though the first two blenders listed here can make juice and come in at a fairly low price, the Cleanblend Commercial Blender is my budget pick. This company is known for quality products, good value, and a friendly reputation. They do not disappoint with this blender!

The Cleanblend Commercial Blender comes with food-grade stainless steel blades, but not just a few. This bad boy has 8 sharp blades to help slice right through even the toughest juicing ingredients. The sealed ball bearing and stainless-steel drive train keep everything moving smoothly and for extended periods—no more worries about cheap plastic parts heating up and bending or breaking.

An impressive three horsepower gets this motor running and keeps it revved up for the long haul. Smoothies, juice, salsa, nut butters, you name it and this blender can make it. It’s actually pretty impressive for this low of a price.

You can’t have a good blender without a pulse function, and this Cleanblend has one that’s super easy to use. Sometimes, the pulse button can be hard to see or it’s in an inconvenient location—not this time. The pulse button is actually a neat lever or switch that’s super simple to flip up or down. It’s got a nice tactile sensation when you flip it, too, so you’ll never wonder if you’ve pushed it al the way or not.

Right next to the pulse switch is the variable speed control dial. While I’d have preferred to see numbers on this particular dial, the speeds are marked. If you have low vision, you may find it difficult to differentiate between the small dashes, but you can hear the motor changing speeds pretty easily.

With a five-year warranty, you’ll have plenty of time and peace of mind trying this blender for juicing. The BPA-free container is a whopping 64 ounces, leaving plenty of room for big batches and family-sized juicing, too. The tamper is BPA-free as well, so you know it’s safe to use, even when making juice for babies.

The Cleanblend is a large blender, so be sure to leave plenty of space on your counter. It measures 18 X 15 X 13 inches. Because of its size, it also has a pretty hefty weight of 12 pounds. They did use plastic for some of the body and the blending jar, so that reduces the weight a bit.

Unfortunately, you really need to hold the blending jar down tight while in use. The blending jar doesn’t lock into place. As long as you don’t mind having to hold the blender jar while working, this isn’t a big issue.

  • Strong blender with a low price
  • Big blending jar
  • BPA-Free
  • Easy to use switches and speed dial
  • 5-year warranty
  • Makes hot soup from cold ingredients

  • The markers on the dial may be hard for some people to see
  • It’s not as fancy or flashy as some of the other blenders on this list
  • Have to hold the blender for stability

Overall Opinion: If you want a good blender for juicing but can’t afford a Vitamix, the CleanBlend is a good alternative. It has enough power and plenty of sharp blades to liquefy ingredients in just a couple of minutes. With a large, BPA-Free jar, you have lots of room to experiment with new juice recipes.

4. Blendtec Classic 575 | Great Juicing Blender

Do you love a classic look with fun color options? The Blendtec Classic 575 might be the best juicer blender for you! I’m really fond of the bright color options for this model, but the real love comes from its performance.

The Blendtec Classic 575 comes with easy blending cycles that include one-touch buttons, four pre-programmed cycles, a five-speed manual control, and a pulse feature. It’s all right there on the front of the blender, clearly labeled and easy to use. It’s also got manual controls for all of us control freaks.

The LCD display is a nice modern touch. It keeps track of the time remaining in your chosen blending cycle, so you won’t have to guess. It’s a big display, too, so it’s easy to read even for my aging eyes.

A unique design choice, this Blendtec juicing blender has dull blades instead of sharp. That’s great for cleaning, but it does a phenomenal job of pulverizing and liquifying ingredients. Because the blades are dull, they are much thicker than you may be used to seeing. While it may look weird at first, it’s actually a great feature that helps prevent dangerous breakage.

This is one of those cool self-cleaning blenders. Some companies want you to believe all blenders can self-clean, it’s simply not true. If the blades don’t spin fast enough, no amount of soap and water will get that jar clean. This blender doesn’t have that issue. Fast-spinning blades and a strong motor make the self-cleaning function top notch.

Need a big jar? How does a 90-ounce BPA-free jar sound? This behemoth blender can make blender juice for four to six people. That sounds like a perfect party!

The Blendtec Classic comes with an impressive 8-year warranty. Even better? It’s an American company that’s family-owned. Every blender is engineered and assembled in the U.S.A.!

The cord is a bit short for my liking. However, the 3-foot cord might be perfect for your kitchen, so give it a shot. They make up for the short cord by providing the cool, tamper-free jar design. The ingredients are sucked down into the blades so you don’t need to risk injury by shoving a tamper inside. That’s pretty cool, Blendtec!

Ever try hot juice? Maybe that sounds weird, but give it a try on your next chilly morning. The Blendtec Classic can make hot soup or hot juice simply by using friction. No need to add hot ingredients!

  • Unique jar design means no need for a tamper
  • Dull blades are safe and strong
  • The self-clean function works flawlessly
  • Huge blending jar for big batches
  • Great warranty and killer customer support

  • The cord is rather short at 3 feet
  • The handle is big and bit clunky to use if you have small or weak hands

Overall Opinion: A solid, reliable blender for making juice. It’s backed by the Blendtec name and a great warranty. Customer support is stellar, and the blender can handle anything you throw at it. This is one of the best blenders for juicing for those who want a little color in their kitchen and a more modern design.

5. Vitamix A2500 | Welcome to the Future

If you’re looking for a classy-looking Vitamix blender with a modern twist, the A2500 is a great choice. This is one of Vitamix’s “smart” blenders, and it can make some incredible juice.

The three walk-away settings include smoothies, hot soup, and desserts, but you can use them for a huge variety of applications. There’s also a great manual control option and a pulse for those who like to be in complete control. Because it’s a Vitamix, you really can just walk away and let the machine do the work. It doesn’t wobble or shake itself off the counter!

What makes this Vitamix smart? Well, it’s got built-in wireless connectivity, for one. It can also read the container base you put on it so it can automatically adjust settings to fit the size. That saves a lot of money down the line because you’re avoiding dangerous over blending or powerful blends in small containers.

There is a wide range of self-detect containers, too. You won’t be stuck with just one jar—go ahead and get the whole set and get ready to be amazed how easy your blender juicing becomes.

The digital timer is easy to read. It helps take all the guesswork out of timing your juice, smoothies, soups, and other foods.

The laser-cut blades are made of hardened stainless steel. Using their decades of blender knowledge, Vitamix has created a 4-blade system that ensures a perfect blend every time, even when making juice. The motor is powerful and time-tested, meaning you can keep it running longer than lower-end blenders to make sure your juice is as smooth as possible without damaging the machine.

This is a really comfortable machine to own and use. The jar fits nicely in my hands and feels sturdy, like all other Vitamix products.

  • Smart blender detects the container size and adjusts blending power
  • Variable speed and pre-programmed settings give plenty of options
  • Clear and visible digital screen
  • Vitamix App has 17 blending programs and more than 500 recipes
  • 10-year warranty

  • Self-detect containers of various sizes must be purchased separately
  • Containers can be expensive, but they do last a long time
  • Can be loud without a sound-damping mat under the unit (still quieter than cheaper brands)
  • Smart-detect is a relatively new technology with an unproven track record

Overall Opinion: For a modern and high-tech blender that can juice like a pro, the price on this model isn’t that bad. It has fairly simple and straight forward operation with a cool app and Bluetooth connectivity. Yet it can be controlled manually as well, making it versatile for every kind of user.

6. Vitamix A3500 | The Best Vitamix for Juicing

Surprise! It’s another Vitamix! I wasn’t kidding when I said these blenders can make juice, so there are a few on the list that easily fit the bill. The Vitamix A3500 just so happens to be the blender I use every day. It’s powerful, efficient, and uses that super cool smart technology. It’s also backed by the Vitamix name, has the same top-tier blades, and comes with a great warranty.

Like the A2500 from above, the Vitamix A3500 has some pre-programmed settings. If you like variety, you’ll love that this one has five program settings instead of just three. With this model, you get smoothies, hot soups that can cook right in the blending jar, dips and spreads, frozen desserts like sorbet, and a self-cleaning setting. We use the smoothie setting to make juices, believe it or not. One of my kids uses it every single day!

I’m a tech junkie, so I love the touchscreen controls and the beautiful, bright digital screen. It also has a nice dial on the front for manual tuning with half and whole steps. The whole thing looks sleek and sexy, but it’s also very easy to keep clean. I keep it on my counter because it just looks so pretty.

It’s got a powerful 2.2 HP peak motor and the always-impressive and sturdy Vitamix blades. It really rips through ingredients without a hitch, leaving my drinks smooth and tasty. I love the strong-sealing top, the sturdy, no-tip base, and the variety of blending jars.

The thick power cord is a generous 4 feet in length, which has been a real blessing in my kitchen. Some cords may be this length, but they always feel so flimsy and weak—not this one. It never gets hot and it’s never kinked or become tangled. I’ve moved this baby all over the place without having to unplug it. And since the base is heavy and stable, the blender stays put when in use, not a shake, wobble, or scooting to be seen. That makes it nice to just walk away and do something else while the Vitamix A3500 makes juice for me.

This is another of Vitamix’s smart blenders, so it comes with built-in wireless connectivity. The A3500 pairs quickly and easily with the Vitamix Perfect Blend App on iOS and Android. That comes with a few hundred recipes and 17 programs to try, by the way, which is nothing to scoff at. It can also read the container size and automatically adjust program settings so you don’t blow the whole thing to smithereens. Granted, you need to use the Self-Detect jars for that to work, but it’s worth the extra cost.

With the built-in timer, you can be sure you’ll never over blend again. The whole thing shuts off when the time is up, so no more worries!

You may notice the bigger price tag on this model than the other Vitamix blenders on this list. Yes, it’s very pricey, but it is my favorite blender for juicing ever. It’s worth every penny! The higher price tag is the only reason this blender is not my top pick for making juice in a blender. It does the job phenomenally, but I think very few people will be comfortable spending this much money right off the bat. Do keep it in mind when you decide to upgrade though!

  • Simply the best blender for juicing
  • Lots of pre-programmed options
  • Easy controls and dial
  • Futuristic touch controls
  • The self-clean function works like a charm
  • Low-profile, 64-ounce blending jar
  • 10-year warranty

  • More expensive than some other models
  • Self-detect containers must be bought separately

Overall Opinion: The Vitamix A3500 is the best blender for juicing on the list. So, if you can afford it, get it! Not only can you make amazing and healthy whole juice in this blender, but you can do so much more. Vitamix blenders can last a lifetime, so it’s an investment in your future health.

7. Ninja Chef | Affordable Option for Juice Lovers

I was really excited to try the Ninja Chef for juicing, and I was not disappointed. For a lower-cost blender, it did a remarkable job on even some of the toughest ingredients. While it’s not going to stand up to a Vitamix when it comes to using a blending for juicing, it does a good enough job that I think anyone would be happy to own one.

I like the 10 manual speeds and the 10 pre-set Auto-iQ programs. The presets include flour and mill, frozen drink, extract, smoothie, soup, ice cream, puree, dips and salsa, dressing, and nut butters. But you really care about the juicing side, so let’s focus on that.

The Ninja Chef has an advanced motor system for powerful blending and juicing functions. As with all Ninja blenders, this one has strong and reliable blades that can handle tough ingredients without slowing down or getting stuck. That’s a huge bonus when using a blender to make juice.

Like many other good blenders, it comes with a clean program. The BPA-free jar can also be put in the dishwasher, so you’ve got cleanup options.

  • One of the most affordable juice blenders
  • Great power and best value for the money
  • Sharp blades cut through anything
  • Presets and manual controls offer extensive customization
  • Easy cleanup

  • The body feels like cheap plastic
  • Can overheat if you’re not mindful

Overall Opinion: This is a good juicer blender for budget shoppers and those who want lots of features. This is a decent Vitamix alternative for making juice in a blender. It can handle pretty much any blending task as well as making some nutritious whole juices.

8. NutriBullet RX | Small & Powerful Juicing Blender

Many people are going to be shocked to find the NutriBullet on the list of the best blenders for juicing, but hold your judgment until the end of my review. The NutriBullet RX is one of the strongest personal blenders from this company, and they really did a heck of a job on it. It may be small, but it is mighty, and it can make a nice glass of whole juice!

The motor is 1700 watts, which is one of the strongest motors you’ll ever find in a personal blender. This little machine is fairly impressive when making juice out of softer fruits or veggies. And believe it or not, it can actually make hot soups, too.

It comes with a short cup with a 30-ounce capacity. It also comes with a 1-liter pitcher. Those are the words on the site itself, and maybe it sounds impressive. This is where I’m going to gripe a little bit about tricky marketing ploys. You see, a liter is a little over 33 ounces. While that’s a significant amount of juice, the “1-liter pitcher” is technically only about 3 ounces more than the 30-ounce cup.

I get a little squicked over shady marketing like that, but it’s a small thing when you see how this juicing blender performs.

The hands-free smart technology makes this one of the simplest blenders on the list. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. If simple and easy if what you need in a blender that can make juice, then this is a good choice for you. If you’re like me though, you like more options and controls.

  • Easy to operate
  • Auto shutoff
  • Decent single-serve size
  • Juices soft fruits and veggies with ease

  • Limited functionality
  • Has some trouble with tougher or more fibrous foods
  • Tricky marketing wording leaves a bad taste in my mouth
  • Pricey for a single-serve blender

Overall Opinion: If you can get past the slick advertising and tricky wording, the product is actually pretty decent. It can rip through most ingredients with ease, though you may find it struggling with tougher recipes. It can juice single servings pretty quickly, and it also has a hot soup feature.

9. Nutri Ninja | Personal Blender for Juicing

Creating a personal, affordable juicing blender can be tough, but Ninja has managed to do it. The Nutri Ninja is a bit of an engineering marvel if you take a close look at it. It’s a simple design, easy to operate, and can handle some simple juicing tasks. They manage to do this with a truly affordable price tag.

Impressive! But it’s not all good news for the Nutri Ninja.

I do love Ninja blenders, and I usually rank them higher than NutriBullet, however, in this case, the lower power of the NutriNinja (900 watts) brings my rating down a notch. I feel like they could have given us a bit more power to make this a truly remarkable personal juicing blender. This is not to say the Nutri Ninja is a bad product—it’s actually really cool—but it does lag slightly behind the NutriBullet in power and functionality.

  • Very affordable personal blender for juicing
  • Plastic jars are thick and durable
  • Small and light, easy to travel with
  • Powerful enough to juice soft fruits and veggies

  • Lacks the power to cut through tough and fibrous veggies
  • No hands-free feature

Overall Opinion: If you’re on a very tight budget and only need to juice for one person, the NutriNinja is a pretty good deal. It’s affordable, powerful enough for basic juices, and comes with two blend and go cups.

After extensive testing and research, I think this list of the best blenders for juicing includes a little something for everyone. Whether you need a huge blending jar and a super-strong motor for huge batches, or just want something small and simple for on-the-go juicing, there is a great juicing blender here for you.
