- 8 ounces Chocolate Chips
- 2 tbsp organic cold pressed Coconut Oil
- 2 tbsp Cacao Powder
- 2 tbsp Palm Sugar
- 1 tbsp pure Vanilla Extract
- ½ tsp Salt
- Preheat your oven to 375°. Spread the hazelnuts evenly on a baking sheet and bake for around 10 minutes. Let the nuts cool down. Lay a cloth out on the kitchen counter and evenly distribute the hazelnuts. Lay another cloth on top and rub the hazelnuts between the two cloths to remove the dried skins.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl submerged in hot water, making sure no water gets into the bowl with the chocolate chips. Spread the inside of blender with plenty of oil. next, throw in the hazelnuts and blend on low for 10 to 15 seconds. Blend on a higher level for a couple more seconds. Scrape the sides of the blender down and blend again on low speed for a couple of minutes. Now, pour in the oil and blend on low for another 2 minutes. Keep on scraping down the sides of the blender until you have a smooth paste. This should take around 8 to 10 minutes, so be patient.
- Combine the remaining ingredients apart from the melted chocolate and combine for another minute or until you have a smooth and creamy spread. Now you can combine the melted chocolate and whizz until you have an even smoother, creamier mixture. Spoon into a clean, sterilized jar and enjoy your homemade chocolate hazelnut spread!
