It can be quite a chore slogging through all the garbage to find the treasures, but you’re in luck! Slogging is my hobby, and I’ve already done the work for you!

Below, I’ll discuss the benefits and risks of using a blender food processor combo, plus I’ll cover what to look for in the best devices. And, of course, I’ve compiled a list of the best food processor blender combo devices for every budget.

What is a blender food processor combination appliance?

Making Dough in Blender Food Processor ComboEveryone knows what a blender is. These common kitchen devices come in a range of sizes, styles, and prices, so nearly every American home has one kind or another. Food processors are a bit less common, and there is a lot of mystery surrounding their purpose. Add in a blender food processor combo, and people’s brains explode.

Relax! It’s not actually as complicated as it sounds.

A food processor blender combo is a kitchen appliance that can do the work of a traditional blender and a modern food processor, all in one device. These processes can be accomplished either through one simple appliance or a more complex device that uses specialized attachments to get each job done.

The best blender food processor combo appliances can make things like smoothies and juices, while also mixing, chopping, and processing ingredients in a wider range of sizes and textures. They can make doughs and batters in a snap, create nut butters to die for, and even handle soft and delicate fruits and other ingredients without making a huge and embarrassing mess of them.

Blender food processor combos are pretty awesome if you ask me. I highly recommend picking one up if you like creating new and unique foods and drinks from scratch but don’t want to spend all day doing it.

What to look for in the best blender food processor combos

Nuts in Blender Food Processor ComboSo, they sound like magical food makers, don’t they? How could you possibly choose? It’s a bit easier than you may think, especially if you read this section. If you’re eager to see what models I recommend, you can skip this part, but I strongly encourage you to read on. You’ll see why I selected the models I did and you’ll have some new knowledge you can use to fine-tune your own research, too.

I’m putting cost considerations first because the main reason people like combo appliances is that it will save money in the long run. Buying one machine is typically cheaper than buying two. Mind you, you’re looking at a food processor blender combo, so the cost is likely to be a bit higher than a simple blender, for example. But it’s worth it when you consider the huge increase in functionality.

Pay attention to the overall cost of any food processor blender combo you look at. Will it come standard with all the attachments and functionality you need? Or will you have to buy more accessories to get all the bells and whistles?

The second biggest reason someone might want to buy a combo blender and food processor is taking advantage of expanded functionality. Blenders can do a lot of things, and food processors can do a lot of things. Combine them, and you have an epic wonder-machine that can do just about every food prep task you can imagine.

But are you going to use all of the functions? If you’re not going to use 25% of the offered functions on the most expensive model, it might be a better choice for you to downgrade to a model that costs less and only has the functionality you’re really looking for.

However, if you like kitchen adventures, drop the cash for the models with the most functionality. That way you’ll always have the tool you need to create something wild from your imagination.

While a blender food processor combo may boast an impressive list of functions, you need to ask yourself if they’re efficient at all of them. Sure, it may claim it can knead dough, but if it takes 10 minutes to do that task and doing it by hand would only be 8 minutes, you’re not really looking at an efficient machine. Another example would be a combo appliance that claims it can make hot soup, but if it can’t actually cook the soup in the container or the container can’t handle past a certain temperature, you’re not really getting full use of that function and therefore it isn’t exactly efficient.

The thing about efficiency is that there are two schools of thought. There are the facts—how it actually performs, tested and timed and rated. And there is the opinion side—how you feel about it, how it works in your lifestyle, and what value it brings to your life.

While I can totally report on the facts and test results, I can’t tell you what your opinion is going to be. What’s acceptable in my life may be totally unacceptable in yours, so just keep that in mind while you read.

Space Concerns

All kitchen appliances come with space concerns. The smallest kitchens won’t be able to store all the parts of the most complex and accessory-heavy blender food processor combos. Sometimes, even the largest kitchens can have trouble storing all the parts.

But many models come with a compact design or integrated accessories that don’t need to be stored separately. Measure the space you have to store your new food processor blender combo before you purchase to avoid storage frustration.

Do blender food processor juicer combos exist?

They sure do! They might not be what you’re imaging though. If you haven’t read my article on juicer blenders, check that out after you read this article. I spend some time explaining how blenders can be used as juicers.

As far as food processor blender juicer combos go, all of that applies, plus some. You’re combining two or three machines into one, which means something’s got to give. Sometimes, that’s specific functionality, other times it’s the size and weight of the machine, and sometimes it’s the quality of the materials or the resulting food and drinks.

There is a delicate balance when creating combo kitchen appliances, but these mythical creatures definitely exist. Some of the blender and food processor combos listed below can also make pretty yummy juice!

What are the downsides to using a blender food processor combo?

Making Peanut Butter in Blender Food Processor ComboWhile these machines are pretty great overall, they do come with a few downsides you need to keep in mind.

The first downside is that they aren’t likely to do absolutely everything that each individual appliance can do. You’ll be giving up one thing or another to make room for something else. You need to understand that balance and be okay with it. Thankfully, these machines come in a wide variety and have plenty of options. You’re sure to find one that checks all of your boxes.

Another possible negative to a blender and food processor combo is the weight and footprint. You’re combining two or more devices into one, which means you’re going to need to add something somewhere. Whether it’s an attachment or a built-in part that doesn’t come off, it’s adding bulk and weight to an already hefty machine. Plan to make room for this addition to your kitchen.

There could also be a slightly longer learning curve when trying to work a new combo machine. It isn’t that they’re any more complex than the individual appliances, but they can have unfamiliar settings or strange configurations for the attachments you’re not ready for. This is pretty easily avoided by carefully reading the user’s manual, however.

The Best Food Processor Blender Combos

Now that you know what these miracle appliances can do for you, it’s time to take a detailed look at my favorites. While there may be some other ones out there that could have made it onto this list, the ones I’ve listed below scored much higher than others in one category of another. I’ll be sure to explain why each model is listed so you can be properly informed before you buy.

1. Ninja Mega Kitchen System (BL770) | Best Blender Food Processor Combo

I have an obvious fondness for the Ninja brand, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Does it make me a little biased toward them? No, actually. I have just found that the Ninja line of kitchen appliances has constantly ranked high during my test kitchen trials, so they’ve certainly earned their place here. The Ninja Mega Kitchen System is a perfect example of why I like this brand so much, and it is my best overall pick for the best blender food processor combo.

Keeping with the Ninja promise of affordable and powerful kitchen appliances for the average user, the Ninja Mega Kitchen System has a little bit of everything to streamline your kitchen time and produce a quality product every time. Everything is dishwasher safe, which means less time scrubbing and more time enjoying your delicious creations. They’re also BPA-free so you know your family will be safe from harmful chemicals.

Starting with the impressive 72-ounce ice crushing pitcher, you can see that this machine is capable of pulverizing a huge quantity of ice all at once. It’s got a 2 horsepower motor powering the unique Ninja blades. This is the pitcher you want to use for large batches of smoothies, juices, and soups.

There is also an 8-cup food processor bowl for chopping, slicing, dicing, and dough-making. According to their site, this blender food processor combo can make about two pounds of dough in under a minute! I was curious about this claim, so I gave it a try with a thick and hearty wheat bread dough. No joke, it was done in about 40 seconds!

In addition to the standard Ninja blades and the neat dough hook, it’s also got a reversible disc. This is used for jobs like shredding cheese and slicing ingredients evenly.

Settings include one-touch dough, blend, crush, single-serve, and there’s a pulse button, too.

This set is great because it takes care of the big batches and the little single-serve batches, too. With two single-serve, 16-ounce go-cups, you can make your drinks and take them with you all in one container. That’s total convenience.

This kitchen system comes with Ninja’s cool and tech-heavy Auto-iQ base. Before you panic, it’s not a difficult thing to use. Since it’s all automatic, you really don’t have to learn anything new at all. Besides, this blender food processor combo comes with great instructions and a cool recipe book, too.

  • Highly versatile
  • Great attachments
  • Easy to clean using the dishwasher
  • BPA-free
  • Variety of capacities for a range of meals and drinks
  • Auto-iQ streamlines the food and drink prep process
  • One-touch controls are simple and intuitive
  • Affordable

  • A lot of attachments make this a space-hogging appliance
  • No special storage container for extra sharp blades may pose a danger in cramped conditions
  • Lots of plastic parts

Overall Opinion: People either love or hate Ninja. I happen to love them for what they bring to the average American household. The Ninja Mega Kitchen System allows a wider range of households and budgets to afford a quality blender food processor system without chewing through a whole month’s paycheck. This isn’t the highest tier appliance with the very best materials, but it is a quality product with expanded functionality and enough efficiency to truly benefit most households’ food processor and blender needs.

2. Oster Pro 1200 | Budget Blender Food Processor

Oster sometimes gets a bad rap, but I don’t think that reputation is deserved. They may not be Vitamix quality, but they’re not the bottom of the pile either. The Oster Pro 1200 is a great example of a budget blender food processor combo that still brings value and power to your kitchen.

Designed for the average user, the Oster Pro 1200 has a decent list of functionality and certainly performs well under pressure. It has an intuitive and simple design, a good number of one-touch options, and a reasonable number of attachments and accessories. It won’t take up a ton of space, but you do need to consider where you’ll store unused attachments.

This appliance comes with 7 speeds, clearly labeled on the front. That includes 3 pre-programmed settings that allow you to make one-touch salsa, smoothies, milkshakes, and that kind of thing. There is also a pulse option for precision blending and food processing.

The Oster Pro 1200 is unique in that the blades can go both directions. This is handy to help move ingredients down into the blades more efficiently than a single direction system. It can also reduce the need for tamping and opening the top to shake things around. It doesn’t work perfectly, but it does add some efficiency that other systems lack.

Other nice features include the 6-cup glass jar and extra-large, BPA-free 5-cup food processing bowl. There is a stainless-steel slicing disc and chopping blade as well as a 24-ounce smoothie cup with a to-go lid. The 10-year Duralast all-metal drive warranty is good, too.

All that said, this is a budget option, so you’re not going to get a life-long appliance here. It doesn’t have the same high-function and efficiency as top-tier models, but it will do a lot more than a standard blender can do.

  • Very affordable budget option
  • Decent controls with a fair number of functions
  • Fairly efficient at most blending and food processing tasks
  • The glass jar is good quality
  • BPA-free parts to keep your family safe
  • 10-year warranty on drive
  • 3-year warranty otherwise

  • 10-year warranty is for the drive only
  • Budget blender food processor combo made with cheap materials
  • Loud operation
  • Some functionality is less efficient than I’d like to see (green smoothies, for example)
  • Awkward cleaning instructions

Overall Opinion: If you just need basic blending and food processing functionality and don’t care about lots of fancy things, this is a decent choice. This budget blender food processor combo will do the basics without overly complicating matters. It’s not going to last a lifetime, but it can add value to your kitchen projects and help you live a healthier lifestyle.

3. Ninja Master Prep | Budget Pick

I’ve already included one budget blender food processor combo, but my actual budget pick is the Ninja Master Prep. While the Oster listed above is a bit bigger and might look a little better, this Ninja Master Prep set can handle a lot of blending and food processing tasks with a very small price tag. When budget is a concern, sometimes quality can suffer. This isn’t the case with the Ninja Master Prep.

Don’t let its small price tag and small footprint fool you. The Ninja Master Prep blender food processor combo packs quite a punch. Without the clunky and blocky base of other budget models, the Ninja Master Prep has a unique and convenient one-touch motor that sits right on top. The power head is fairly heavy but not too heavy to easily install or remove.

You can choose a 48-ounce jar for blending smoothies, juices, and sauces. Or you can use the smaller 16-ounce chopper bowl for salsas and chopped fruits or veggies. The power head is only 400 watts, which makes this one of the weaker combos in this article, but it wasn’t meant for massive meals and complex recipes. 400 watts is perfect for what this appliance was intended for.

The containers and blades are dishwasher safe, which is always nice. However, be careful not to submerge the power head. Just like the bases of the bigger blender food processor combos, the power head is full of electronics. If you dunk it in water, it’s going to die.

While some of the other models listed in this article have an array of controls and options, this little Ninja is all about simplicity. It’s all controlled with a one-touch pulse button right on the top. That means you’ll need to pay close attention to what you’re doing, but it’s going to chop the heck out of anything you put into it, too.

  • Conveniently sized, compact
  • Strong enough to crush ice quickly
  • Decent chopping and processing capabilities
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Easy use with a one-touch pulse button
  • BPA-free
  • Choice of blending or chopping containers
  • Excellent value for a budget pick

  • Small and limited capacity
  • Not strong enough for dough or nut butters
  • Plastic construction
  • Limited functionality

Overall Opinion: For a basic, ultra-tight budget option, this Ninja Master Prep bundle is a pretty sweet deal. You won’t be able to do the really fancy stuff like thin-shredded cheese or fresh bread dough, but you will be able to chop, dice, slice, and blend like a champ.

4. Fochea 3 in 1 | Modern & Stylish Combo

Now here is a brand I’d never heard of before researching for this article. The fact it was previously unknown to me but still ended up on the list of the best food processor blender combos should tell you something.

This 3-in-1 kitchen appliance can replace a blender, a food processor, and a simple chopper. All removable parts are dishwasher safe for easy cleanup, and the base itself can be wiped down with a damp rag. This baby is BPA-free, too, so no worries about dangerous chemicals.

The 700-watt motor isn’t the strongest on the planet, but it is strong enough to handle all basic food processor and blender duties, plus some of the tougher jobs. Smoothies are a snap, of course, but this little guy can handle coffee grinding and simple nut butters, believe it or not.

I would not try to make any dough in this small blender food processor combo, however. It isn’t strong enough to handle that kind of job. But batters should be fine, even thick ones such as pancake or cakes.

I really liked the “one-click” design. It’s supremely easy to switch out parts and use attachments. Some of these products can be tricky and must be perfectly aligned; that is not the case with the Fochea 3 in 1. They clearly designed this thing to be easy and simple.

This unit comes with a 50-ounce food processing bowl, 19-ounce travel cup that you can make your drinks right inside, and a 10-ounce grinder for seeds and smaller chopping jobs.

  • Affordable price
  • Decent flexibility
  • Easy to use one-click attachments
  • Dishwasher safe
  • BPA-free

  • This can’t be run for a long time, so be aware of the overheat protection
  • The grinder jar isn’t suitable for wet or heavy ingredients which limits its usefulness

Overall Opinion: I was pretty impressed with the performance of this combo blender and food processor. The design is unique and looks modern and stylish, but the cool factor doesn’t stop there. Being able to make and take a smoothie on the run is pretty cool. The one-click design is efficient. If you’d like something a little stronger than our top budget pick, but don’t need the power to make tough doughs, this is a good choice.

5. Ninja Smart Screen | Intuitive Touchscreen & FreshVac

Hey, look! Another Ninja system! There is a good reason Ninja keeps popping up in this list of the best blender food processor combos. They make good products for everyday use and average users. The Ninja Smart Screen is a little lower on my list than the other Ninja products because of the higher price and the sheer number of attachments. But don’t let that scare you away. This is a great blender food processor system with some impressive features.

The 1400 peak-watt motor can really power through tough ingredients. It’s no secret that Ninja blenders can demolish ice in seconds, and this particular model does it with pizazz. It can also handle really difficult tasks like kneading dough and nearly-liquefying ingredients.

The touchscreen is cool, so if you like modern, tech-driven appliances, you’ll probably really appreciate this design. It’s got 9 pre-set, vessel-specific Auto-iQ programs that range from simple smoothies to more complex things like ice cream. You can use the manual controls, too, if you’re a control-freak like me.

But let’s talk about the vessel selection for a moment; this is one of the best features of this food processor blender combo. The Smart Vessel Recognition System is a lot like the Vitamix Self-Detect system. It can recognize which container you’ve popped onto the base and will display the appropriate Auto-iQ settings. This ensures nothing is over-blended or under-processed.

I’ve mentioned a few times already that some of these blender and food processor combos can handle dough. If you’re like me, you love fresh bread and homemade pizza, so that’s a pretty important feature. This Ninja can make a killer pizza dough in a fraction of the time it takes to do it by hand.

The Ninja quad-blade system handles chopping like a pro, too. It can do anything from a chunky rough chop to a very fine chop with just a few pulses. It also has a slicing and shredding disc to handle some more advanced food processor duties.

One thing of special note about the Ninja Smart Screen is the FreshVac technology for fresher smoothies and juices. I really liked this aspect, and since we all love juice and smoothies here, I figured I better showcase this sweet little gadget. Oxygen is the enemy of fresh-squeezed or pulverized juice. This nifty device eliminates most of the oxygen from the single-serve cup and the full-sized blender bottle.

  • FreshVac technology removes nutrient-destroying oxygen
  • Smart Screen is easy to use and intuitive
  • Smart Vessel Recognition System takes the guesswork out of blending and processing times
  • 72-ounce pitcher for large batches
  • Single-serve container for smoothies and juice on the go
  • 40-ounce food processor bowl is big enough for dough but still precise enough to handle delicate seed grinding and nut butters

  • It’s a bit pricey for some people, but worth the cost when you see the efficiency and flexibility
  • There are a lot of parts to store
  • Sometimes the locking system can get a bit goofy, but once you get the hang of it it’s easy
  • At 16 lbs, it’s a hefty machine

Overall Opinion: The only reason this wasn’t my overall top pick for the whole article is the price. It also has a lot of extra parts that might not be appealing to the average user. However, if neither of those things bothers you, this is a solid choice that I’m sure you’re going to love. It can do more than most of the best blender juicer food processor combos, so it’s well worth the price.

6. Ninja Nutri Bowl Duo | Lost in Space

Ok, so this thing looks like that chunky, clunky robot from the original Lost in Space, but there is no danger here, Will Robinson. If anything, the Ninja Nutri Bowl is here to save the day. With a retro-futuristic design hiding modern ingenuity, this food processor and blender combination can get any job done in a fraction of the time.

If you’ve read any of my other articles on this site, you’ll likely remember that I hate marketing jargon. They think they’re being clever by giving things impressive names, but if the product doesn’t actually live up to the hype, I’m going to point out their failed moves. In this case, the awesomely-named Pro Extractor Blades aren’t a gimmick. These things have some legitimate blending, chopping, and processing power.

Backed with a 1200-watt motor, this machine can rip through anything you put into the roomy 4-cup bowl, 24-ounce single serving cup, and the 32-ounce single-serve cup (available on models NN101 and NN100). It made quick work of big ice chunks and also handled my delicate berries without destroying them. I made a nice, thick whole juice in the single-serve cup, and then turned around and made a fresh and chunky salsa in the big bowl.

The dough hook that comes with this food processor blender combination is made of plastic, which made me a little worried. However, it did hold up to the pizza dough test, so I can attest to its strength. I don’t know how long it would last with frequent use, however.

We should really talk about the Auto-iQ Boost. If you read about Auto-iQ in the entries above, you already know it’s a pretty clever piece of programming that helps you make everything perfect the first time. This model comes with an Auto-iQ Boost, however, which adds another layer of awesome. Basically, you select an Auto-iQ setting as before, but there is a yes and no selection. If you choose yes, you’ll get smoother results. If you choose no to the boost, your results will be chunkier with more texture.

  • Auto-iQ Boost adds simple customization
  • Manual controls are intuitive
  • Great flexibility and efficiency
  • Good selection of containers, blades, and disc
  • To-go cup
  • Easy clean in the dishwasher
  • BPA-free

  • A bit higher priced than some other models
  • The 1-year limited warranty is a bit lame
  • It’s quite loud, even for a blender

Overall Opinion: This isn’t going to be your cheapest option, but it just might be your best option if price is no concern and you don’t mind a little extra noise. It’s a solid machine with top-quality containers and a good track record of excellent mid-quality kitchen appliances. It’s not for large families, but a single person or a couple could easily make enough food in this machine to satisfy.

7. Oster Versa | 7-Year Warranty

Oster did a good thing with the Versa 1100-watt professional performance blender and food processor. While definitely a higher price tag than most Oster products, I think this one is actually worth the cost. They’ve taken a step away from their totally budget-friendly options and made something a bit closer to mid-range in both quality and price.

The 64-ounce Tritan jar is great. I love seeing these big, sturdy blending jars on blender juicer food processor combos. It shows that the manufacturer understands the nature of this beast. A flimsy jar isn’t going to withstand the tough jobs, so Tritan needs to be part of the game plan. They included two 20-ounce blending cups, too, which is pretty cool for couples and families.

The food processor bowl is 5 cups, which is pretty standard for this type of machine. It’s a reasonable amount of space for salsa and nut butters. But it’s also pretty roomy for the slicing and shredding disk to get some tasty cheeses, meats, and thin-sliced veggies.

I was impressed with the pre-programmed settings on this Oster food processor blender. I didn’t expect to see so many options or that they’d perform as well as they did. There is also a good number of manual controls to keep anyone happy. Also, I have to admit this thing has a sleek and modern design that’s eye-catching and fun.

The reverse function of this machine is useful and unique. I don’t see a lot of food processor blenders with the ability to go both directions, so that adds a little bit of excitement to this model. It helps keep the food moving in the bowl or jar without having to open it up, tamp it down or scrape, then close it all up to blend again. It’s really useful for salsa—I can’t stress that enough.

Hey, do you like peace of mind when you throw down wads of money? Me too, so the 7-year warranty on this baby made me smile. Good job, Oster! Knowing you believe in this food processor blender combo makes me feel a lot better about suggesting it.

  • Flexibility and efficiency
  • Two 20-ounce to-go cups mean couples can share a smoothie or juice
  • The large blending jar can make enough for a small family
  • The food processor bowl is generous in size
  • Easy clean means less wasted time
  • Programmed settings and manual controls ensure customized results every time
  • 7-year warranty

  • For the price, I’d have liked a little more power for dough-making—it can do it, but not well
  • It’s more pricey than other Oster products, but the warranty helps me feel more confident in the quality

Overall Opinion: Oster really surprised me with this one, and I’m hoping more people will give them a shot. As one of the best blender food processor combos out there, it’s going to be hard to beat the price and flexibility with a warranty like this one. It gets the job done and adds a little bit of flash and fancy to the kitchen, too.

8. Hamilton Beach Power Elite | Good Value

Hello, Hamilton Beach! Welcome to our food processor blender juicer combo party! Say that five times fast…

Hamilton Beach is known for its budget kitchen appliances, but “budget” isn’t always as a bad thing. In this case, they found a winner with the Power Elite model. It’s got the expected low price, but it comes with some impressive power and functionality. That means it’s a good value for the money. Here’s why.

First and foremost, it’s got a 40-ounce glass blending pitcher. Some of the more expensive models listed here only have plastic. The fact that Hamilton Beach saw fit to give us glass is worth praising. Glass is sturdy, temperature resistant, easy to clean, and naturally BPA-free. For a budget-type company, they didn’t skimp on the part that actually touches your food.

This set also comes with a 3-cup chopping bowl. This is where most of the food processing is going to happen. While 3-cups isn’t a huge amount, it’s better than doing it all by hand. You can get a decent amount of chopped ingredients in here, plus it’s not going to kill you to do bigger meals in batches. You’re still saving tons of time here.

They managed to get 12 blending functions onto 4 buttons, which is some kind of witchcraft… or, you know, science. Either way, it’s a good way to maximize functionality in limited space. Everything is pretty straight-forward with this budget food processor blender combo, so there isn’t much room for error.

You have to love the fact Hamilton Beach provides a 3-year warranty here. That’s more than the Ninja options. But you do need to keep in mind that this is not a powerful blender or food processor. It’s not going to make thick dough and it won’t be able to make whole juices or the smoothest of smoothies.

  • Some versatility
  • Great budget price
  • Glass blending pitcher
  • 3-year warranty

  • Plastic chopping bowl feels cheap
  • Not a lot of extra features
  • Only handles basic blending and food processing jobs

Overall Opinion: While not the best budget option on the list, this Hamilton Beach blender and food processor is a decent alternative. It’s got enough power to do some basic duties of both machines, but don’t expect it to rip through tough ingredients or to handle complex jobs. If all you need is basic blending and food processing power, but have a small budget, this is a good option for you.

And there you have it! Now you know that blender food processor juicer combos exist and that they’re not terribly expensive either. You will certainly get what you pay for, as the old adage goes, but that doesn’t mean that the budget options are garbage.

With this list, I hope you can find the right balance for your life. Whether you need all the fancy features and high-tech gadgets or are perfectly happy with the basic models, there is something here for everyone. Let us know if you’ve tried any of the best food processor blender combos on this list and what you think of them. Do you have one that you love that we didn’t review?

Vibrant Happy Healthy
