In reply to Glenda.

Hi Glenda,
Ginger in small doses may actually help you reduce the likelihood of stomach acid flowing up and relieve symptoms of acid reflux. I do know that ginger can interfere with some medication, so it's best to consult your doctor to check if ginger interacts with yours.

Here's a great article about acid reflux and ginger:
https://www.healthline.com/health/digestive-health/ginger-for-acid-reflux#risks-and-warnings

In this article, it says you should limit your intake to 4 grams daily.

Wish you all the best & thanks for stopping by! :)

Hi Phil, just found your great web site. Reading about your ginger shots, there are benefits that I could use such as boosting the immunity, energy and pain relieving. But, I have awful acid reflux problems and I'm on two different medications for it. Since ginger causes your stomach to produce more acid, would it be ill advised for me to do the ginger shots?

Thanks, Dan. For me it was the same. In the beginning I couldn’t stand the taste of fresh vegetable and ginger juice, now my body craves it. Chewable ginger tablets sounds great. I’m going to research it, thanks for the tip.

Thanks, Jamiro. I actually like the taste, but somebody who doesn’t can add more fresh lemon juice, it helps mask the stronger ginger taste.

Yes! Ginger is a very important root it is so beneficial for our health . Ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory agent that can be used in our everyday life. I know a lot of people who shy away from ginger due to its very strong taste, but i am sure if they knew the benefits of this awesome food they would jump on it more quickly. Thank you so much for sharing with us, very useful information.

Wonderful post Phil! I have been using ginger for years. It has helped me so many times with digestion issues and things like the cold and even the flu. It's truly one of nature's best medicines. Although it can be an acquired taste, after some time I really found it to be enjoyable. I recently found some chewable tables that contain ginger that have really helped me out. I never saw the prepackaged shots that you discussed so I am definitely going to have to try those in the near future. Perfect time to do it with the cold weather here. Thank you for writing this!

Sure, you can make fresh vegetable juices with ginger. However, for ginger shots I would go for a 2 ingredient ginger + fruit combination. I could think of pineapple, pomegranate, orange, kiwi ... pretty much any fruit, the possibilities are endless.

Sure, you can drink and eat ginger every day :) I also love turmeric, but be careful juicing it, turmeric really can leave your kitchen a mess. I do think cooking reduces the benefits, but it’s always better to add ginger to your diet by cooking than not adding it at all, so don’t worry ;)
